INTRODUCTION
Making Tracks is a family business started in 1989 by Catherine and Ian. The business started just offering a fitting service, which operated from the dining room of the family home. In 1995 we moved the business to a unit in Ravenscroft Rd, which is where Derek, Barry & Lillian joined us. After a while we moved to a rented shop in Marlow Road, where we started selling and making curtains, blinds, cushions covers etc but still kept the contract side going.

During this period we were all gaining valuable design and field experience. The shop was then sold and we had to move– 3 times in 3 years! Finally we decided to buy 275 South Norwood Hill where we have been for the past 6 years. We now stock sample books from a range of fabric houses, along with many other accessories. It was 2001 when Mike, the fitter, joined the team.In 2002 Katie joined who streamlined the sales side and not forgetting our apprentice named Harry who will be learning everything from the basic constructions to the finished articles.

Now that we have a full and dynamic team covering everything from fitting, track technology, accessories, curtain making, sewing techniques, we have added more services to our already very comprehensive range.

We now sell the Sanderson and William Morris paint ranges along with the wallpaper, lighting, tracking, a range of blinds and of course fabrics. We have also sourced our own blacksmith who will make all our bay and straight wrought iron poles to our very own specifications either painted or polished.

We have travelled far and wide and carried out some very prestigious work – Ireland, Wales (The Metropole Hotel 120 rooms!) Germany, The American Embassy, Damon Hill, Damien Hurst, Sir Ronnie Corbett, Sir Clement Freud to name but a few.

We pride ourselves on making sure that we get the job right.
